In light of the current situation relating to COVID-19 we want to reassure you that we are taking all appropriate precautions to ensure the safety of our customers, our colleagues and the people they may meet as part of their work activities.
A key additional area where we can minimize risk both to you as our customer and also to our delivery drivers is around the signing of PODs (Proof of Deliveries). With a view to enhancing social distancing between our delivery drivers and your staff, with effect from Friday 27th March we are implementing a procedure whereby we will no longer be asking your goods-in personnel to sign our PODs. Once the goods have been safely unloaded our driver will note the name of your goods-in employee, sign the POD and endorse it with ‘COVID19’. This will negate the need for your goods-in employee to sign as well and will help maintain social distancing.
If you have issues with a delivery, we would ask that you notify us within 48 hours to allow us to investigate further.
The above procedure is in line with many delivery services currently operating in the UK. I hope you agree that it makes sense for us to take as many precautions as possible in these unprecedented times.
The internal sales team operate from 8.30am to 5pm and any calls or emails will be dealt with in the normal manner. Wherever possible we would encourage you to email queries to [email protected]
Thanks for your continued support and stay safe.
