Earlier this year we completed the major task of moving our entire company – factory, warehouse and offices – to a single 2.37 acre, self-contained site on the Bowerhill Industrial Estate, Melksham.

The most challenging part of the move was dismantling, transferring and reassembling all the machinery. We filmed the largest machines being moved – take a look at the time lapse footage.

The detached unit, which is located on Lancaster Road comprises an impressive 59,391sq ft warehouse, now houses our design, manufacture, storage and consumables operations all under one roof. It features a covered loading bay with seven roller shutter loading doors, an adjoining single storey office block, with canteen, customer reception and parking area.

Ben Tupman, Managing Director, commented on the move:

“It’s been a massive undertaking to make this move with the planning and execution taking up a substantial amount of time for the last year. We wanted zero disruption to our service so most of the machinery was moved at weekends. Now we’re in, our manufacturing flow has really improved and it’s already delivering benefits to our clients. And it demonstrates that we are here to stay and we have the space to expand and innovate for many years to come.”

Westbury’s new location at the Bowerhill Industrial Estate is just off the A350 and within easy reach of main access routes to the South & South West.
