We’re delighted to welcome Tracy Tucker as head of our Finance Department
Tracy joined Westbury Packaging three months ago in the role of Finance Manager with a view to bringing all elements of Westbury’s financial management & planning in line with the company’s long term objectives.
Before joining Westbury Packaging, Tracy held a number of both Senior Finance and Senior Management positions. Initially, she worked her way up through the ranks of a very large organisation, then over the last 15+ years has been working in small- to medium-sized businesses. With broad experience gained across many industries, including construction, multi-channel retailers, manufacturers and distributors, she is already proving a huge asset to the company.
Under Tracy’s capable leadership, previously outsourced services such as Payroll and Management Accounts have been brought back in-house. Retaining all the activities of the Finance department under one roof now enables her to view the full picture and keep an eye on both cashflow and cost control across all areas of the business.
In terms of the day-to-day life at Westbury, Tracy is very much enjoying being a part of the team. She says,
“Westbury has a great team – from the owners to the Sales team, to the guys on the production floor. Everyone seems to know what is expected of them and everyone is busy. Since I started, I’ve been made to feel that I’ve made a difference and that I’m valued. If that same message is being told to every member of staff, then that makes for a very happy environment.”
When not swimming in figures and data, Tracy likes getting out and about. Like many of her new colleagues, socialising ranks high on her list! Equally, she loves to travel, not necessarily to far-flung places, but exploring what’s just around the corner, wherever that corner may be. She’s also a Bath Rugby season ticket holder – although she professes not to know that much about the game, she enjoys the banter and watching the players in action.
